For those of you who don't know what Doctor Who is its basically about a time-travelling madman with a box that flys through time and space to save worlds and other alien races.

The New Doctor

BBC has just released the name of the actor that will be taking Matt Smith's place on Doctor Who. They just released the name about twenty minutes ago in the live studio audience premier. Being a loyal Whovian, I've been waiting for awhile for the announcement of the new doctor for awhile and the arrival of the new season, even though I'm two seasons behind. But I've been counting down the days till the new season also. Only 112 more days!

Peter Capaldi 

Peter Capaldi has been announced as the 12th Doctor. From stalking his Wikipedia, he looks like he will be a great Doctor. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland on April 14, 1958. So the actor is 55 so I wonder if the 12th Doctor is going to appear younger or older than Matt Smith. He'll look great for being over 1000 years old no matter what he looks like.
